With the goal of interviewing one person a week in NYC, I've set out to have candid conversations with people who've moved to New York for their jobs. The conversations center around three topics: career (what their roles are and how they got there), New York (their first impression and how moving here has changed their lives), and life (the lessons they've learned along the way). In these conversations you'll learn about people who work jobs in different industries, come from a vast set of cultures, and what drew them to New York City of all places.

The interviews take place in locations from underground on the subway station to gourmet coffee shops. All equipment involved included the voice recorder app on my phone, a microphone, and a mental list of questions I wanted to ask each participant.

In a city of 8.5 million people, you'll find that our stories make us unique, yet there is something remarkably relatable in each one.

If you know someone who has an interesting story to share, please refer them under the CONTACT section. Thank you!

52 Stories was created because we all have a unique story to tell and I am fascinated by how others got to where they are in this exact moment. Every single second of your life up until now has led you to this very moment. When I first moved to the city I was excited by the sheer number of different stories that those around me had. Coming from different hometowns, backgrounds, colleges, most people in New York have a different story behind why they packed up everything and moved to this city.
